Leaving from Takapuna Beach we kayak across to Rangitoto Island. We explore the volcanic coastline and check out Rangitoto’s famous Lighthouse before landing on a sandy beach to relax.

Explore the remnants of Auckland youngest volcanic eruption. Go swimming or just bring along your favourite book to enjoy and soak up the sun. This trip takes about one hour at a cruisey pace.

The Takapuna to Rangitoto Half Day Kayak does not walk to the summit. To do this you need to join ODNZ on the Rangitoto Day Kayak Trip

Duration: 4 hours. 9 to 1pm or 1 to 5pm (other times on request)
Experience: None required, fully guided
Fitness: Easy to medium fitness required
Weather: Trip postponed if windy

Minimum: 4 people (not just your group)
Maximum: 16 people (larger groups call)
